Weavers from San Martin brocade charming specimens of their surrounding fauna - dear, cats, owls, dogs, etc., into their woven bookmarks.  Some just have a striped design.  These make a great inexpensive, handwoven gift from Guatemala.  They measure approximately 2.25 inches wide and 7 inches long but each is a bit different in size.  These are woven by the Mayan Hands cooperative.  Sold individually.

I love these bookmarks! After keeping one for each member of our family, my wife and I handed out a dozen more to fellow employees as gifts over the holidays. They were a huge hit! I read nightly and I love seeing these beautiful bookmarks and being reminded of their hand craftsmanship.
