Since 1996, over 80 Mayan women have worked to create more than 3000 Guatemalan Dolls, weaving traditional clothing which resembles their own. They carefully sew and braid the hair and embroider the face. Creating each Guatemalan doll has been a source of great pride for these Mayan women who live in remote highland villages of Guatemala. Creating each doll has also provided needed income.
