| The very colorful bag is woven by Mayan weavers in Guatemala. It is called a shopping bag because it is used to take home treasures and items from the local village market on market days. This bag is very large with lots of room inside. Inside there is one zipped pocket. The top zips shut to help keep items inside. The bag measures 18 inches high, 17 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The handles are 24 inches long creating a drop of about 12 inches. It would be perfect as a diaper bag, hobby bag, knitting bag or the like.
This is made by a Samajel B'atz' cooperative known as YAMAN MUNIL which means "work united" in the Mayan language of Popti. |
