This bag features a bright and wonderful fabric handwoven on the backstrap loom in Solola Guatemala. On one side of the bag is a coco button to help keep the contents inside. On the back side of the bag is a velcro pocket so you can get to items you need quickly. Inside, the Solola Coco Button Bag is lined with black fabric and has another velcrom pocket. The bag is 8 inches high, 7 inches wide and 2.5 inches wide. This is made by the Maya Traditions Solola weaving group.

The Solola weaving group consists of 22 Kakchiquel mayan women who make finely woven backstrap pieces using a traditional tie-dye technique called Ikat or jaspe. The group is made of widows and their daughters who came together to earn a living after the violence of the 1980s.
